Carlo Ancelotti managed his 61st game for Real Madrid in the European Cup against Bayern Munich. This tally makes him the coach with the second most matches under his belt in this competition and he moves ahead of Vicente Del Bosque's record (60). Only Miguel Muñoz (71) exceeds the Italian's record.

Of these 61 matches, 43 have been wins, 9 draws and 9 defeats, which have enabled the Italian to lift the European Cup twice as Madrid manager (2014 and 2022). Ancelotti has always reached the semi-finals of this competition in his five seasons at our club. The Italian has made European football history and recently became the first coach to reach 200 games in the Champions League format. He is also the only coach to have won the European Cup four times.

Making history
In Munich, Ancelotti also became the coach with the second most matches in the history of the European Cup by catching up with Wenger's 208 matches. The first in this ranking is Ferguson with 214 matches.
