Clásico comeback and 11-point lead at the top of the table

Real Madrid again gave their fans an evening to remember at the Santiago Bernabéu with a comeback in El Clásico. After advancing to the semi-finals in Manchester, Ancelotti's men once again drew on their DNA and turned around a game in which they were behind twice. Goals from Vini Jr, Lucas Vázquez and Bellingham in the 91st minute secured the win for our team, increasing their lead over the blaugranas to 11 points with six games left to play in LaLiga.
Barcelona went ahead early on when Christensen headed in Rapinha's corner (6'). Madrid's reaction came soon after, coming close to making it 1-1 two minutes later. Tchouameni put a lofted pass into the box, Modrić headed wide and Vini Jr's right-footed effort failed to find the target. The Brazilian came up with another chance soon after. This time it was with a deflected header from a Kroos free-kick.

Vini Jr. equalised
Madrid were searching for an equaliser and, in the 18th minute, they got it. Lucas Vázquez drove to the byline, dribbled past Cancelo and was brought down by Cubarsí. The penalty was then converted by Vini Jr. to make it 1-1. The Catalans responded again from another corner (28'). Lamine Yamal whipped in an outswinginging corner, Lunin cleared the ball off the line and the VAR, after a review, ruled that the ball hadn't crossed the goal line. Modrić had the last chance of the first half following some nice link-up play between Rodrygo, Bellingham, Valverde on the edge of the area. The Croatian's shot from inside the box was saved by Ter Stegen. 

The second half didn't see much of a change in the proceedings and the exchange of blows continued after the break. Lamine Yamal first curled a shot that Lunin had no trouble dealing with; then Bellingham tried to catch the keeper out with a left-footed shot from just inside the area, but the keeper kept it out (50 mins). Five minutes later, the Englishman slipped a great through ball into the run of Vini Jr, who raced into the box but shot wide. Then, against the run of play, Fermín scored in the 69th minute when he capitalised on Lunin's parry inside the box.

Bellingham caps off yet another comeback
Madrid didn't wait a single moment and drew level just four minutes later. Valverde began the move in midfield, played the ball to Vini Jr, who crossed to the far post. Lucas Vázquez, who arrived on the run, finished with his right foot to make it 2-2. The Brazilian was once again in the spotlight as he came close to netting in the 78th minute. Lunin played a very quick ball out of the back, the Brazilian beat Pedri on the run, and got in front of Ter Stegen, who kept out the goal in a one-on-one situation. However, as we are used to, Real Madrid demonstrated their courage and Bellingham sealed the win in the 91st minute when he got on the end of a great cross from Lucas Vázquez at the far post. Our team moves a step closer to the league title.
